The area of False Bay in Cape Town is notorious for the variety and abundance of shark species roaming beneath its surface. Good catches are made during the day, however, it is at sunset or when night falls that may produce the best results. Species that we target, but are not limited to, include Hammer Head, Mako, Ragged Tooth, Bronze Whaler, Thresher and Spotted Gully. Many different ray and skate species also provide an exciting and thrilling adrenaline fuelled experience on the open sea. Great White Sharks, although dominant in the area, are protected and therefore not targeted.
